Life at the Reindeer Farm

On this visit to a local reindeer farm, you will be welcomed by a reindeer herder dressed in traditional Sámi national costume. During the visit, you will see the herder at work feeding the reindeer, have the chance to help, and learn how to catch a reindeer the traditional way using a traditional lasso (called suopunki). You will hear stories about reindeer herding, Sámi culture, and the life of a reindeer-herding family. Hot drinks and a small snack will be served in a Lappish hut (kota).

Fell Enchantment Snowshoe Excursion

Welcome to a guided snowshoeing trip in the fells of Nuorgam — into untouched nature and complete silence. On this excursion, you will have the chance to admire the pristine beauty and grandeur of Lapland’s wilderness as your guide shares stories about the local flora, wildlife, and culture. During the trip, you will be served a hot drink or an outdoor lunch, according to your preference.

Snowshoeing is a peaceful way to explore the Arctic wilderness without disturbing its pristine beauty. Suitable for all fitness levels, trips start easily right from the Holiday Village.

Northern Lights Trip on Snowmobiles

The Nuorgam region is Finland’s northernmost place to view the Northern Lights. Our northern location without artificial light pollution gives you plenty of opportunities for watching the night sky and filming the Northern Lights in a variety of different environments, from river landscapes to the shores of the Arctic Ocean.

Guided Northern Lights trips help you explore the night-time Arctic nature and discover places where the skies are best. Weather permitting, you have a good opportunity of seeing an unforgettable Northern Lights performance. The guide will give you tips on how to capture the Northern Lights with your camera while telling you tales of the wondrous Aurora Borealis. During the excursion, hot drinks will be served.
